Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Nomi collects, why we collect it, and the controls you have over it. We aim to keep things short, plain, and accurate.
Who is responsible
Nomi is a service provided by Newance Labs AG (in formation), based in Zurich. For any privacy-related question, write to info@nomi.wine.
What data we collect and why
Waitlist sign-up
When you join the waitlist we store the phone number or email you provide, the timestamp, and any optional fields you fill in. We use this only to invite you when access opens and to keep you informed about launch.
Survey
If you respond to a survey we keep your answers along with a random identifier. We use survey data in aggregate to improve the product. You can ask us to delete your individual responses at any time.
Website analytics
When you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner, we record aggregate metrics about how the site is used (page views, referrers, broad device categories) through PostHog and Google Analytics 4. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no identifying data is stored. Google Analytics may still send anonymous, cookieless signals for aggregate modeling purposes under Google Consent Mode v2.
Third-party services
CookieYes
CookieYes is our consent management platform. It displays the cookie banner, stores your consent choice in a first-party cookie, and gates the analytics services accordingly.
PostHog
PostHog is our product analytics platform. When you accept analytics cookies, PostHog records page views and CTA clicks to help us improve the site. Data is hosted in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com).
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 provides aggregate site analytics. We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept analytics cookies, only anonymous, cookieless signals are sent. After consent, standard analytics cookies are set and full measurement resumes.
Vercel
The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes request metadata (IP, user agent) to serve pages and protect against abuse.
Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. Font files are served from Google's CDN; no account data is shared.
jsDelivr CDN
Some static assets are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. Standard CDN log data (IP, user agent, request path) is processed by them to deliver files.
Cross-border data transfers
Some of the services above process data outside Switzerland and the EU (notably in the United States). We rely on standard contractual clauses and the providers' own safeguards. By using Nomi you consent to this transfer.
Cookies
The Nomi product (WhatsApp) does not use browser cookies at all. The marketing site uses cookies in two categories:
- Strictly necessary: a single cookie set by CookieYes to remember your consent choice. Set without consent because the site cannot remember your choice otherwise.
- Analytics (opt-in): cookies set by PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. Only set after you click “Accept” on the consent banner.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the CookieYes badge available on the page.
Data retention
We keep waitlist contact details until you ask us to delete them or for at most 24 months after launch, whichever comes first. Survey responses are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data is kept in aggregate indefinitely and contains no personal identifiers.
Your rights
Under Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR you have the right to:
- request a copy of the data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@nomi.wine.
