Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Nomi collects, why we collect it, and the controls you have over it. We aim to keep things short, plain, and accurate.

Who is responsible

Nomi is operated by hey.wine GmbH (in formation), based in Zurich. For any privacy-related question, write to info@nomi.wine.

What data we collect and why

Waitlist sign-up

When you join the waitlist we store the phone number or email you provide, the timestamp, and any optional fields you fill in. We use this only to invite you when access opens and to keep you informed about launch.

Survey

If you respond to a survey we keep your answers along with a random identifier. We use survey data in aggregate to improve the product. You can ask us to delete your individual responses at any time.

Website analytics

We collect privacy-respecting, aggregate metrics about how the site is used (page views, referrers, broad device categories). No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no IP storage beyond what is needed to count unique sessions.

Third-party services

Vercel

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes request metadata (IP, user agent) to serve pages and protect against abuse.

Google

We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. Font files are served from Google's CDN; no account data is shared.

jsDelivr CDN

Some static assets are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. Standard CDN log data (IP, user agent, request path) is processed by them to deliver files.

Cross-border data transfers

Some of the services above process data outside Switzerland and the EU (notably in the United States). We rely on standard contractual clauses and the providers' own safeguards. By using Nomi you consent to this transfer.

Cookies

The marketing site does not set tracking cookies. The Nomi product (WhatsApp) does not use browser cookies at all. Where strictly necessary cookies are used for security or fraud prevention, they are session-only.

Data retention

We keep waitlist contact details until you ask us to delete them or for at most 24 months after launch, whichever comes first. Survey responses are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data is kept in aggregate indefinitely and contains no personal identifiers.

Your rights

Under Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • request a copy of the data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@nomi.wine.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
